Edgefield County Solid Waste and Recycling Centers serve the entire range of your household waste disposal needs. House waste may be disposed of in the compactor as you enter the facility. Separate bins are available to accommodate aluminum cans, cardboard, plastic containers, newspapers and other recyclables. Stations for the disposal of used oil, old appliances, and scrap metal are also in place. Yard waste, building material and furniture items may be disposed of at the recycling centers as well; however, large volumes of these materials should be disposed of at C & D Landfill on Highway 378. Attendants staffing the centers will answer your questions about proper use of the facilities. Putting items in their proper place is a big step toward a cleaner, more attractive Edgefield County.
